Your cooking
lessons include an introduction to local wines, the art of bread making, learn
how to make the “treccia” the traditional shape of the mozzarella cheese, pizza,
and the famous Neapolitan “sfogliatella”. Truly a culinary experience and exploration
into the delicious art of Southern Regional cuisine.

ITINERARY
Day 1 - U.S.A.-NAPLES
Departure from U.S.A. to Naples by scheduled service. Dinner and beverages
will be served on board.
Day 2 - NAPLES-S. AGATA DEI DUE GOLFI
Arrival at Naples airport where you will be met and transferred by
private car to A charming country hotel in S. Agata dei Golfi on the Amalfi
coast, near Sorrento. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax
or begin to explore this lovely area on your own. Dinner and overnight
at the hotel.
Day 3 - S. AGATA DEI DUE GOLFI-MASSA LUBRENSE-SORRENTO
Following breakfast at the hotel we will visit a farm in Massa Lubrense
for our first cooking lesson, the art of bread making. Located amongst
a picturesque grove of lemon trees you will visit the old monastery, which
has been converted into a farmhouse. Here, the traditional local women
will teach us how to make and bake bread Italian style. Lunch will be
served at the farm. Then visit to the beautiful Sorrento. Some free time
to explore on your own. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4 - S. AGATA DEI DUE GOLFI
Following breakfast, we will learn how to make the “Treccia” which
is the traditional shape of the mozzarella cheese. You will learn how
this cheese is made fresh daily. You will stop to visit a local winery
and have a chance to taste the local wines produced in this extraordinary
area. The afternoon is at your leisure to relax or take a swim in the
sea. This evening dinner is served at a local typical “Taverna”. Return
to the hotel and overnight.
Day 5 - S. AGATA DEI DUE GOLFI-POMPEII
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure to visit the excavations
of Pompeii, the Roman City buried by a volcano eruption in 79AD. Immediately
following take part in a cooking lesson and lunch in one of the most exclusive
restaurants in Southern Italy, Il Principe di Pompeii. We will learn some
ancient Roman recipes modified to satisfy today’s tastes. Return to the
hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6 - VICO EQUENSE-AMALFI COAST-POSITANO
After breakfast we will depart for Vico Equense for a visit to one
of the oldest pizzerias, where a lesson in the art of making pizza will
take place followed by lunch. Return to the hotel via the spectacular
Amalfi coast with a stop in Positano. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.
Day 7 - S. AGATA DEI DUE GOLFI-NAPLES
Following breakfast, depart for Naples for a visit to the historical
center. Stop at the oldest Neapolitan patisserie, pastry shop to learn
how to prepare a “sfogliatella”, a typical Neapolitan pastry. Free time
to explore on your own. Return to the Hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 8 - S. AGATA DEI DUE GOLFI-NAPLES-U.S.A.
After breakfast you will be transferred by private car to the Naples
airport for your return flight to the U.S.A.
