Arrival to Lerici. Accommodation in the hotel. Free afternoon and dinner at the hotel.
2.day
Guided tour to Portovenere (the Castle, rebuilt in the XVI century on the ruins of an ancient Genuise fortress; Saint Peter and Saint Lorenzo’s churches, both built in the XII century, Byron’s grotto, where it is possible to enjoy a magnificent view of the gulf from). Lunch: -personal arrangement. Free afternoon. Dinner in the hotel.
3.day
Optional cooking lesson at the famous restaurant “Locanda dell’Angelo” of Paracucchi. Lunch: restaurant “Locanda dell’Angelo” at Ameglia. 16.00 p. m.: departure for Lerici and excursion to the castle that fascinated Byron, Shelley and Keats (by the way, did you know that Shelley died here in a sea storm?). Free time and free dinner.
4.day
Morning: excursion by ferry (or by other transport depending on weather conditions) to the Cinque Terre. Arrival in Monte Rosso and walk to Parrocchiale Church with its famous facade and for its Madonna del Rosario (a pictorial example of Luca Cambiaso’s school, one of the most famous Ligurian painters), to Saint Francesco’s Church (inside it is possible to see Van Dyck’s Crocifissione, Luca Cambiaso’s Pieta’ and Saint Gerolamo and Bernardo Strozzi’s Veronica). Transfer by ferry to Vernazza and short sightseeing, lunch: restaurant il Gambero Rosso (an ex pirates’ den). Departure for Riomaggiore by ferry, on arrival walk along the famous Via dell’Amore, where it is possible to enjoy a magnificent view of the Cinque Terre. Coming back to the hotel and dinner.
