Falconiere/Cuisine International Tour

Day 1:

Upon arrival, owners Silvia and Riccardo Baracchi welcome you, settle you into your rooms after which you will join them for a welcome cocktail. You will meet Chef Michele Brogioni and the staff of the Relais Il Falconiere. An aperitif will be followed by a delicious Tuscan meal.

Day 2:
After breakfast, you have your first cooking class:"Amusing cooking with a bit of fantasy". The hands-on lesson concentrates on the successive stages of the meal. For lunch you will dine on your creations accompanied by the finest Tuscan wines. The afternoon is at your leisure and dinner is on your own.

Day 3:
In the morning there will be a sightseeing tour of Cortona, visiting the Etruscan accademy museum, the Etrucan graves and discovering the mystical atmosphere of the monastery "Le Celle". Lunch will be in a typical tavern. You will be back to the Relais in time for a cooking session: "Along Etruscan Traces". Then you will enjoy your dinner of the dishes along with a selection of "Super Tuscan Wines".

Day 4:
After breakfast there is an excursion to Pienza and Montepulciano in southern Tuscany's fine wine country. Lunch and a wine tasting will be held in a Montepulciano cellar. In the evening, you will have a wonderful dinner eating together with a typical family of Cortona.

Day 5:
Breakfast and the morning is at your leisure. In the afternoon you will drive to a typical Tuscan restaurant, formerly an old mill, for; "The Joys of Home Life" cooking class, which will show you how to make home-made pasta and olive oil dishes following old Tuscan traditions.

Day 6:
After breakfast, you will venture into Assisi for a tour and city walk. There will be free time to shop in Deruta, famous for its ceramics. After lunch break, it is back to the hotel for your last cooking lesson: "The Fish and it's Secrets". There will be a gala Farewell Candlelight Dinner at Il Falconiere.

Day 7:
After breakfast, you will depart after a wonderful week of cooking.
