Cooking Holidays in Cinque Terre Tour

Your cooking
lessons include learning the many different ways in preparing a variety of fish
specialties including techniques and cooking methods. You will also learn to
make a variety of pasta from tagliatelle to ravioli and sauces to accompany
these various delicious dishes. A culinary experience into traditional
local specialties that never fail to surprise.

ITINERARY
DAY 01 - U.S.A./GENOA
Departure from USA to Genoa by scheduled service. Dinner and beverages
will be served on board.
DAY 2 - GENOA/LERICI
Arrival at Genoa airport where you will be met by your driver and
transferred the short distance to the enchanting medieaval town of Lerici
and to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome Cocktail. Remainder of the day is at
leisure to explore the area or relax. Tonight at dinner you will sample
some local dishes accompanied by choice vintage wines.
DAY 3 - LERICI
Following a buffet breakfast, we begin this day with our first lesson
by learning the many different ways in preparing a variety of fish dishes.
Various techniques will be demonstrated to create perfect seafood dishes.
After lunch departure by private car with an English speaking guide to
the charming Magra Valley to visit a local olive oil producer where an
expert will show us the art of olive oil making.
DAY 4 - LERICI
After buffet breakfast, you will continue your cooking lessons. Today
the chef will demonstrate how to make a variety of pasta from tagliatelle
to tagliolini and to ravioli. Following lunch the lesson continues by
learning to blend fresh ingredients and vegetables to make delicious sauces
to accompany the various dishes. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.
DAY 5 - LERICI/CINQUE TERRE (FIVE LANDS)
Following buffet breakfast, departure by boat (from April to October)
from Lerici to Portovenere, a picturesque seaside resort. An English speaking
guide will be on hand to show you around this beautiful area, surrounded
by the sea and the three islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto. Legend
has it that the Goddess of Beauty was enchanted by the splendor of the
area. Continue by boat to Riomaggiore, and on foot by via Dell'amore (way
of love) to Manarola. Board the local train to reach Vernazza the "pearl"
of Cinque Terre. Enjoy the spectacular view of the sea from the small
square of the town. In the afternoon continue by boat to Monterosso to
visit the old section of the village. Leisure time for shopping to explore
or stop by one of the wine shops to sample the local white wine "5 Terre"
or the rare dessert wine "Sciacchetra". Return by boat to Lerici. Dinner
and overnight at the Hotel.
DAY 6 - LERICI, GENOA/U.S.A.
This morning you will be transferred by private car to the Genoa airport
in time to board your flight home.
