Tour Itinerary
Arrive Rome. Make your own way to the hotel, then the day is free
to explore at leisure. Tonight, enjoy a ‘welcome drink’ and dinner as
you meet with your Tour Manager and fellow travelers. (D)
Rome to Florence. We head north to visit the ancient town of San
Gimignano. Then through the Chianti wine-producing region to Florence,
stopping on the way to sample the local wines. (B,D)
Florence Sightseeing. With our local guide take a walking tour
of Renaissance Florence. Shop for leather, gold and silver. This afternoon
a chance to visit one of the many galleries or museums in this “city of
art”. Tonight, join the locals in a restaurant or club.(B)
Florence to Como. First, we drive to Pisa to view the leaning tower
before we continue past Genoa and Milan and into the Dolomites, to our
hotel on the shores of beautiful Lake Como. (B,D)
Como to Venice. This morning is your chance to enjoy a cruise on
Lake Como before driving across the Lombardy plains to Verona. Here we
stop to admire the Roman Arena and see Juliet’s balcony. Time to enjoy
an evening meal in the city before heading on to the magnificent city
built on water, Venice. (B)
Venice Sightseeing. Our complimentary motorboat takes us to see
St Mark’s Square, the Bridge of Sighs and the Doges’ Palace. See demonstrations
of glass blowing and lace making and wander the fascinating side-streets
with a chance to enjoy a gondola ride.(B)
Venice to Assisi. This morning we stop at Urbino with its magnificent
views before heading for the pink-stoned city of Assisi, see the Basilica
of St Francis with its magnificent fresco paintings. (B,D)
Assisi to Sorrento. Stroll within the old city walls of Assisi
before we drive by the Port of Naples to arrive at Sorrento. (B,D)
Sorrento - Isle of Capri. A full day excursion as we take the ferry
to the Isle of Capri. A chance to explore the highest point of the island
and Anacapri with a local guide. Tonight the nightlife of Sorrento beckons.(B)
Sorrento to Rome. This morning we take a guided tour through the
ancient city of Pompeii (entrance included). We continue North to the
Eternal City-Rome. Tonight a walking tour of this ancient city includes
the Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain and Pantheon. (B,D)
Rome Sightseeing. Today why not discover the ancient ruins of Rome
with a local guide? and in your free time discover the secrets of the
Vatican City and the Sistine Chapel. Tonight get together for a last night
meal! (B)
Depart Rome. ‘Arrivederci Roma’ as our tour ends after breakfast.
