Sunday - Rome: Arrival at the airport. Meet and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight. Day 2: Rome: Breakfast at the hotel. During the morning city tour including the Trevi fountain, renowned not only for its imposing beauty, but also because of the "three coins in a fountain" - the Pantheon, the best preserve pagan temple of the ancient period - Piazza Navona one of the more fancy squares of Rome located on the ancient Domitian Stadium with the magnificent Bernini's Four River fountain - St Angel's Castle - St. Peter's Square and Basilica with Michelangelo's Pieta. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight. Day 3: Rome, Assisi, Perugia, Florence: Departure at 08:00 AM from Hotel Diana by coach to Assisi, St. Francis and Sta. Claire mystical center. City tour, visit to the Basilica of St. Francis containing the most important series of frescoes in the history of painting, from Giotto to Cimabue. Lunch in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon proceed to Perugia, capital of Umbria region and jewel of the medieval art. Time at leisure to walk around or to visit the National Gallery of Umbria, containing paintings of masters as: Beato Angelico, Piero Della Francesca, etc. Arrival to Florence. Overnight at the Hotel. Day 4: Florence: Breakfast at the Hotel. Guided tour to one of the most famous cities in the world, cradle of the Italian renaissance. The city tour will be a walking tour visiting the magnificent down town including the Cathedral of Santa Maria Del Fiore, with Brunelleschi's splendid dome and Giotto's belfry, Piazza Della Signoria, with the great Loggia, the Museum of the Academy with the statue of David by Michelangelo, Ponte Vecchio, etc. In the afternoon, optional tour to Pisa. Return to Florence. Dinner and overnight. Day 5: Florence, Padua, Venice: Breakfast at the Hotel. Departure to Padua, visit to the Basilica Del Santo renowned worldwide and boundary of pilgrimages. Proceed to Venice, unique city for its enchanting atmosphere of streets, canals and bridges. We suggest an optional excursion to the Island of Burano, Murano & Torcello. Dinner at the Hotel. Overnight. Day 6: Venice, Verona, Milan: Breakfast at the Hotel. Morning tour to the city of Casanova, visiting the Piazza St. Mark, the Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs and the prisons. Departure to Verona, free time for lunch and visit of the city of Romeo and Juliet. Famous for its Roman amphitheatre known as one of the best arenas of Opera in Italy, visit of the evocative square of the Herbs and the imposing tombs of the Scaligeri family. Leaving Verona to Milan. Dinner at the Hotel. Overnight.
Milan: Breakfast at the Hotel. Guided tour of the city. Visiting the square of the Duomo, Gallery Vittorio Emanuele II and the theatre La Scala, one of the most celebrated in the world. Afternoon at leisure. It is suggested to take an optional excursion to Lugano to visit the downtown with its precious and enchanting stores or one of the several museums of the city. Dinner with music in a typical restaurant. Overnight. Day 8: Milan, Parma, Roma: Breakfast at the Hotel. Departure to Parma. Short visit to a factory of Regional products (Parma, among other things, its also known as the centre of the "Food Valley"). Visit of the city including Farnese theatre, the Duomo and the Baptistery. By foot we will reach the restaurant, where we will test a real lunch "Parmigiano". Proceed to Rome. Arrival at hotels.
