Lakes & Liguria - 6 nights TourTour Duration :

Milan, Bergamo, Erba, Lecco: Breakfast at hotel. Departure from Milan toward the city of Bergamo: two cities under the same name. The lower city, modern, embracing, bright and the high city, old, silence and picturesque. Land of the "I Promessi Sposi" and of a glorious musical tradition. Continue to Lecco where it's possible to admire the beautiful view of the homonymous lake. It's necessary to pass through the city of Erba to arrive to Lecco. Dinner and overnight at hotel. Day 2: Lecco, Bellagio, Varenna, Dongo, Menaggio, Cernobbio, Lecco: Breakfast at hotel. During the morning departure to survey almost the entire Lake of Como passing through Bellagio, located in the confluence of the three basins of the lake, contending the marvellous panorama with the enchanting town. From here embark to cross one of the arms of the lake and arrive to Varenna, village where the time have stopped and the traditional streets preserve their antique charm. Continuing our journey we will pass by Dongo, the town at the ridden of the lake where Benito Mussolini was shoot. Later we will proceed to Menaggio located at the centre of the lake on the occidental shore and submerged in a grandiose landscape with the mountains backing up the old town. The last centre to be visited is Cernobbio, residential area of the Lake of Como, where it's located Villa D'Este built on the XVI century and transformed on the XIX in one of the more luxurious hotels of Europe, succeeded by a sequence of historical houses and parks. Arrival in Lecco. Dinner and overnight at hotel. Day 3: Lecco, Lugano, Ascona, Verbania, Baveno: After breakfast departure to the city of Lugano, passing over the Italian boarder and crossing with the steamer the homonymous lake to arrive to this enchanting city located in the middle of the Swiss Alps. Continue through Swiss arrival to the city of Ascona, to have our first impact with North shore of Lake Mayor. Returning to Italy we will proceed to Verbania located in the Piemonte region with its medieval atmosphere at the west ribbon of the lake. To end with, visit to the delicious city of Stresa, where the first class hostelry, the parks and gardens, the magnificent position in front of the lake Mayor and the numerous panoramic views convert it in one of the more suggestive centres of the entire area. Continue to Baveno. Dinner and overnight at hotel. Day 4: Baveno: Breakfast. Free day. It is suggested to take an optional excursion to Lake D'Orta. One of the smallest and therefore more calm and graceful of the Italian lakes. During the optional trip it'll be possible to enter to Orta San Giulio located on an enchanting position of a little peninsula. During the free time it's possible to climb to the Holly Hill, its park contains twenty chapels built from 1591. From there it's possible to admire the beautiful landscape around Orta and the lake. Return to Baveno. Dinner and overnight at hotel. Day 5: Baveno, Casale Monferrato, Genoa: Breakfast. During the morning departure to Casale Monferrato known during the domination of the Gonzaga de Mantova and the Savoia. The Monferrato region it's a land defended by old castles; home of St. John Bosco, founder of the Salesians order, and where the more known wines of the Piemonte are produce as the Sprinkle wine of Asti. Continue to Genova; in the afternoon a city tour will be offered, to survey the main port of Italy and the native house of Christopher Columbus. Dinner and overnight at hotel. Day 6: Genoa: Breakfast. Day at leisure. It is suggested an optional excursion to the Monaco Principality and Monte Carlo in France. The trip offers a visit to Square of Monaco Palace from where it's possible to admire the spectacular view of the Port and Montecarlo City. Every day at 11:55 A.M.: there is the traditional guard change in front of the Palace of the Ranieri Family of Monaco. Free time to walk through the lanes of this city or to enter (if it's open to the public) the Royal Palace. During the afternoon it can be done a relaxing coasting ride of Montecarlo. Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Genoa, Portofino, Pavia, Milano: Breakfast. Departure to Portofino located on a beautiful bay enclosed by the Portofino Mountain. It is considered one of the more suggesting sights of the Ligurian Coast, with its polychromatic fishermen houses who create a delicious port, attraction of the international Jet-set. Proceed to Pavia, short visit to the city located on the ribbon of the Ticino known as the city of the hundred towers who during the middle ages was the capital of Lombardia and rival of Milan. Continue to Milan, arrival and end of our services.
