Rome & the Riviera
Tour Duration : 12 Days,11 nights
Tour Category : Sailing Rome to Barcelona, Cruises Tour
|
Cruise to the gems of Italy and the Côte d'Azur.
Nothing stirs
the imagination quite like
the French & Italian Riviera. Here lie Cannes, Nice, Monte Carlo
& Portofino, the great playgrounds of Europe with their star-studded
resorts and yacht-spangled harbors. But these golden shores also play
host to some of the Continent's great cities. Florence almost single-handedly
gave birth to the Renaissance. The treasures of Rome are unrivaled.
And to the great Catalan city of Barcelona, Miro & Gaudi, Dali &
even Picasso bequeathed their radical masterpieces. This 12-day Riviera
holiday captures it all.

Barcelona, Spain
Catalonia's capital shines like a polished jewel from the '92
Olympics. A cornucopia of architectural highlights line broad, tree-lined
boulevards. Enticing seafood restaurants embellish a well-groomed
port. Miro, Tapies, Dali and other Catalan masters fill its museums
with world-class art. Half a millenia separate Barcelona's two great
cathedrals, the massive Gothic structure in the Bari Gotic and Gaudi's
stunning and still unfinished Sagrada Familia. Or drive down the Paseig
de Gracia with its fantasy architecture, shops and colorful street
scenes.
Rome, Italy
Who can resist the Eternal City, Rome, where 2,500 years of
history sprawl triumphantly over seven hills. First-timers will head
for the Colosseum, Roman Forum, St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican.
Others might enjoy a casual lunch amid the baroque splendor of Piazza
Navona, shopping in the fashionable boutiques of Via Condotti, taking
in some of the museums, or just strolling through the romantic squares
of the city
Airfare for air add-on program is in addition to CruiseTour
vacation fare. Airport transfers and baggage handling only provided
for passengers with Orient Lines supplied air.

The ship's main dining room, The Seven Seas Restaurant, captures the elegance
and grandeur of ocean liners of days gone by, with etched-glass partitions,
graceful columns, Art Deco sconces, and a Tiffany-style ceiling. |
| Enjoy Art Deco elegance in the
elegant Seven Continents dining room, which features large windows for
panoramic ocean views, ivory lacquered walls and tables that seat 2, 4,
6,8 or 10. Here nightly five-course Continental and American menus are
