Day 2:
Spend part of the day on your choice of sightseeing tour - an orientation of the city featuring the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and other city highlights, or travel along the Via Veneto and explore the Piazza Navona, including the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. Selected Hotel B

Day 3:
You have another day to enjoy Rome before boarding the glamorous Venice Simplon-Orient-Express in the early evening. There is time to dress before a gourmet dinner is served in one of the Dining Cars, restored to their original elegance and decorated with inlayed woods, Lalique glass panels, black lacquer and polished brass. When you return to your compartment you will see that it has been transformed - dimmed lights and crisp bed linens are your invitation to a restful night. Venice Simplon-Orient-Express B,D

Day 4:
Breakfast in your cabin is followed by a delightful walking tour of Florence. Just steps from the rail station, this Renaissance city beckons visitors with its art and architectural treasures. Rolling Tuscan landscapes float past your window as the train travels toward Venice. A launch is waiting at the station to escort you to your hotel. Selected Hotel B, L

Days 5-6: A maze of hidden alleyways and canals add to the drama of this lagoon city. St. Mark's Square, the Doges' Palace, the Bridge of Sighs-all evoke the romance that is Venice, and you have two full days to wander and explore these and other wonders of the city at your own pace. Day 7:
Return by launch to the rail station to rejoin the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express for its journey to London and another elegant evening on board. Venice Simplon-Orient-Express B,L,D

Day 8:
The continental train travels through Paris to Calais Ville on the coast, where you cross the English Channel aboard the Eurotunnel Shuttle. The final leg of your journey to London takes place on a British Pullman carriage, which pulls into Victoria Station late this afternoon. A private car awaits to whisk you off to your hotel. Day 10:
Transfer to the airport to board a homebound flight. B

If you wish, you may disembark the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express in Paris on Day 8. You will have your choice of a Selected Hotel for two nights, along with standard transfer services. Prices available on request.
