Airport Transfers
Transfers will be provided only for passengers who have booked their flights
on a tour recommended airline and advised the tour operator of their flight
details. Transfers are provided from Rome Airport to your hotel at 09:30,
12:30 and 15:30. Passengers arriving later should make their own way to
the first hotel. Return transfers from the last hotel will arrive at the
Airport at 07:00 and 09:30
Tout Itinerary
Day 1
Depart USA - Overnight transatlantic flight to Rome.
Day 2
Arrive Rome (2nights) - On arrival in Rome you are transferred to your hotel,
with the rest of your day at leisure.
Day 3
Rome sightseeing & at leisure - Today enjoy a guided visit of St. Peter's
Basilica. Then we cross the Tiber into ancient Rome where we stop at the
Forum to wonder at the mighty Colosseum. Then there's time at leisure to
sightsee further. (Continental breakfast)
Day 4
Rome - Florence - Today we follow the Aurelian Way along the Tyrrhenian
Coast en route to Pisa to view the Leaning Tower. From here we continue
on to Renaissance Florence. The rest of the day is free. (Continental breakfast)
Day 5
Florence - Venice (Mestre) (2nights) - Our sightseeing tour on foot features
Santa Croce Basilica, Signoria Square, the Cathedral and Baptistry. We also
admire the panoramic view from Piazzale Michelangelo. Then, on to magical
Venice. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner)
Day 6
Venice sightseeing & at leisure - Today starts with an included canal
cruise by vaporetto to St. Mark's Square. We view the Bridge of Sighs and
Doges' Palace before a visit to a glass-blowing factory. (Continental breakfast)
Day 7
Venice (Mestre) - San Marino - Assisi - Today's drive takes us across the
Apennine Mountains to San Marino. Next on to the city of Assisi, where an
orientation tour highlights St. Francis' Basilica. There's also time to
visit the Church of St. Clare. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner)
Day 8
Assisi - Naples - At Sea - We travel south this morning through Umbria.
Here you may wish to take an excursion to visit Pompeii 'petrified' by the
Iava of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. We continue to nearby Naples, where we
board our steamer for the overnight crossing to Palermo, Sicily's capital.

Day 9
At Sea - Palermo - After our morning arrival a sightseeing tour with a local
guide includes the Piazza Bellini. Then we stop to view of the Conca d'Oro
from Monreale, and visit the 12th century Norman Cathedral. Finally, we
visit the fishing village of Mondello before returning to Palermo. (Continental
breakfast/ Dinner)
Day 10
Palermo - Agrigento - Our first stop is at Selinunte, where we visit the
Dorian Temples and the Acropolis. Then accompanied by a local guide, we
make our way to Agrigento, where we visit the nearby Valley of Temples.

Day 11
Agrigento - Taormina (2nights) - We travel through the vineyards of the
Southern Hills to visit the Villa of Casale. Then we are off to Piazza Armerina
before stopping to view the fortress town of Enna. Soon we arrive in Taormina.

Day 12
Taormina at leisure - Today, relax in this fun-loving Sicilian resort. Ther's
also a chance to visit the Castle of San Pancrazio or take an excursion
to the crater of Sicily's active volcano, Mount Etna. (Continental breakfast/

Day 13
Taormina - Bay of Naples (2nights) - Today begins with a drive along the
coast where we board our ferry across the Straits of Messina to mainland
Italy. From here we continue through Calabria driving via Salerno to our
hotel in the Bay of Naples. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner)
Day 14
Excursion to Sorrento - We drive to nearby Sorrento where we witness the
art of inlaid wood-working. Then oreintation shows us the Piazza Taso and
the Corso Italia with its many boutiques. You may wish to take an excursion
to the nearby Isle of Capri. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner)
Day 15
Bay of Naples - Rome - Today we drive north to view the Abbey of Monte Cassino.
Later, we return to Rome. (Continental breakfast)
Day 16
Rome - USA - Today it's farewell to Italy and 'buon viaggio' on our return
flight to America. (Continental breakfast)
