The Essence of the Italian Alps

weave them together for a six-day interlude of easy-paced hikes, chairlift rides

way up well-marked paths leading to quaint mountain villages. Stroll through

Tour Itinerary
Days 1-2 Corvara Meet in Bolzano
• Shuttle to Corvara, nestled in the heart of the Dolomites
• A scenic funicular ride takes us to soaring heights
• Stroll in the shadow of towering limestone peaks and through flower-strewn
alpine
meadows
• Gelato and strudel are enticing reasons to visit one of the many rifugi
(mountain huts) along our way
Day 3 San Cassiano
A chairlift whisks us up to Pralongia plateau, where we enjoy easy hiking amid
a
storybook alpine setting
• Stop for lunch at a cozy mountain hut, where we'll feast in grand Tyrolean
style
• Stroll downhill through pine forests to Armentarola and our inviting hotel
for the
night.
Days 4-6 Cortina d'Ampezzo
A brief morning shuttle brings us to the dramatic Passo Falzarego, where we
board a gondola for a breathtaking ride
• Embark on an unforgettable hike to Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy's most beloved
mountain
village
• Hike among the famed Tre Cime (Three Peaks) mountains, where historic World
War I
tunnels carved into the hillsides are fascinating places to explore.
