Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Castelnuovo dell'Abate
Meet in Florence and shuttle to Montalcino
• In the heart of quintessential Tuscany, savor a lunch of authentic Italian specialties
   at a local trattoria
• An afternoon stroll takes us through a dreamy landscape, where giant cypress and
  lone villas dot the horizon
• Visit the 12th-century Abbazia di Sant'Antimo, said to have been founded by
   Charlemagne and an exquisite example of Romanesque architecture

Days 2-3 Radicofani
On two wheels, explore quiet cypress-lined roads en route to the Val d'Orcia
• Take time out to visit the historic hot springs of Bagno Vignoni, a Roman piscina
   (bath) from the Renaissance where Catherine de Medici was known to linger
• A walk to the hilltop town of Radicofani is capped off by a bountiful picnic lunch in
  the village's piazzeta
• Spectacular views await at the top of La Rocca di Radicofani, a medieval castle.

Days 4-6 Petrignano
Pedal to Montepulciano, then hop off your bike to wander its narrow streets and medieval town center
• Arrive by bike in the lovely Val di Chiana, a region characterized by rolling hills, corn
  fields and charming villages
• A local chef shares the secrets of making handmade pasta and other Tuscan
   delicacies
• Hike through olive groves and across oak- and chestnut-forested hills to the     
  enchanting city of Cortona
• A guided walking tour of this charming and culturally rich town reveals its Etruscan
  origins
• Pockets of morning fog blanket the valleys as we enjoy a final ride through the
  region's farmland.
